of the attack shared with congress as of this date. i remember the john bolton episode pretty well. our democrat friends feel like john bolton didn't have the information needed to inform a decision of john bollen to being ambassador -- >> you've been listening live to two of the three republican shares that u.n. ambassador susan rice met with this morning. that's lindsey graham of south carolina and the new hampshire senator, certainly her harshest critics. reportedly susan rice requested the meeting. the third senator was john mccain. she's considered a top pick to replace hillary clinton and if nominated rice would have to be confirmed by the senate and there's questions about the handling of the situation. this story continues in washington, d.c. it will be interesting to see if those three senators have support from other senators or if they are standing alone. hillary clinton will be stepping down for the second term. the president will be needing a new secretary of state and susan rice seems to be the other candidate. john kerr i have a possibility as well -- john kerry is a possibility a

works. meanwhile, john bolton, who was our union i wouldn't know ambassador to -- united nations ambassador, he said what he's seen so far, this is not good. >> i'll just put it this way based on my own experience in government, nobody who is truly competent reads talking points for any purpose. if you're good enough to be a senior american official, you ought to be able to use your own words. i'm not saying you make up policy. you obviously follow policy as set by the president. but the notion that you can be a cabinet level official and be given talking points that you simply parrot without further question is mind boggling. >> brian: i'll add this, if you want to know if ambassador rice is capable of being the secretary of state, you have to look at her background. stanford, great schools, right? oxford, i heard is a very good school. not a community college. so i heard that's pretty impresssive. she worked for candidates kerry and dukakis, but she was national security advisor with bill clinton, at which time bill clinton made ace hug best mistake, allowing the genocide to go

. that is a question we'll take up with john bolton. former ambassador to the united nations. good morning, sir. we get so tabled up in the discussion about the videotape and susan rice, and i wonder what's going on with this investigation. we know they took one person into custody, alharzi, he was taken to turkey then tunisia, the fbi said they expect they will be able to interview him over the next several days. we are two months out and it seems to me nowhere in this. >> there are two problems. one is to treat this like it's a criminal investigation. this is not a criminal investigation. it was an acts of terrorism against the consulate. and we have blown lots of opportunities to find evidence on the scene, that the consulate wasn't secured for days and days. obviously the perpetrators aren't hangouts on street corners waiting to get picked up. we lops the opportunity to question this particular individual weeks and weeks ago when his testimony would have been a lot fresher. so i think pursuing this as a law enforcement matter was wrong to begin with. but number two precisely because it's over two m
